Vance Hinds seeks County Court at Law No. 3 seat

I, Vance Hinds, am honored to announce my candidacy for Judge of the newly created Ellis County Court of Law No. 3. My roots run deep in Ellis County. My family has lived in Ellis County since the 1800s. Both parents were born in Ellis County, and both graduated from Italy High School.

Q. What do you want people to know about obtaining permits to do work? A. The City of Ferris reviews documents needed to ensure that buildings, accessory buildings (sheds, shops etc..), fences and signs are compliant with all government codes and safety standards prior to construction.

ELLIS COUNTY – City council elections throughout Ellis County will be held Saturday, May 2, If you have not registered to vote, you have until Apr. 2 to get your paperwork in for voter’s registration. Early voting for the May election begins Apr. 20 to 24, 27 and 28.

ROPD teams up with Dallas County to make arrest

RED OAK – The Red Oak Police identified Dallas resident Dequindrick Nelson, 29, as the suspect in last week’s burglary at the Exxon Whistle Stop in the 500 block of N. State Highway 342.

Midlothian woman finds birth parents through DNA kit

MIDLOTHIAN – A Midlothian woman who was adopted at a young age recently found her birth parents through genetic testing. Not only that – she also discovered her birth parents had married after she was born.
