During Saturday’s GOP precinct convention, Wright told delegates most of Congress has been AWOL since COVID-19. He said he was one of 21 Republicans to file a lawsuit to protect the Constitution.

County Judge tells Elon Musk, Tesla to ‘come join us’

WAXAHACHIE – County Judge Todd Little has sent an open invitation to Tesla Motors’ CEO Elon Musk inviting him to join the Ellis County family. Musk has been vocal about his dislike for the stay at home orders imposed in California, where his Tesla Motors plant is currently located.

Stinging caterpillar season starts

As the weather warms up and people begin spending more time in their yards, parks and forests, more people will be coming home with a rash or bug bite.
There are a total of about 40 vehicles in the fleet – not all have the new logo yet.  The vehicles with new logos are a new program this year, and Hamilton said Ellis County Sheriff Chuck Edge worked alongside the county commissioners and Ellis County Judge Todd Little to make the new look a reality.

Ellis County Sheriff’s Office touts new vehicle logo

WAXAHACHIE – The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office has a new design on their Chevrolet Tahoes. The new design and the new Tahoe fleet are just one more way to make sure the deputies are able to be as proactive and safety conscious as possible.

HILCO’ disburses funds thru Operation Round Up® program

ITASCA – Operation Round Up® Trust Board, comprised of representatives from all of the HILCO districts, voted April 14 to disburse $10,300.00 to six organizations in the HILCO service area. These funds were donated during the 1st quarter of 2020. Grant checks were distributed on Tuesday, April 28.
