Yokohama Tire announces Wilmer distribution center

WILMER – Another Wilmer win last week when the city confirmed Yokohama Tire Corporation will move its new distribution center to Wilmer this summer.
The new 430,000 square-foot distribution center will be the fourth Yokohama distribution center in America to accompany three other U.S.

Wilmer 1st responders receive 6,000 masks

WILMER – The City of Wilmer was the recipient of a mask delivery last week at Wilmer’s City Hall.
“Thank you to our State Representative, Carl Sherman for gifting 6,000 masks to our Police, Fire and Senior Services Department,” Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta said after the mask distribution.

RED OAK – The last weekend in March, 2021 will be one that 11 middle school students will remember as the Red Oak Middle School Civil Air Patrol cadets received an orientation flight in a Cessna 172.

WAXHACHIE – A 29-year-old male found dead late last week in Ennis has been identified as Waxahachie resident Jordon Von Hoffman.
While the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department is not releasing the cause of death at the moment, the manner of death was noted as homicide.

Rozier was one of three finalists that included a current employee of the tax assessor department and a local CPA/attorney.
