RO Council approves $5,657,000 bond

RED OAK – On June 14, the Red Oak City Council approved an ordinance authorizing a $5,657,000 bond. The Area #1 pit bond is to start building infrastructure in that area. Payments will be $1,183 a year for 30 years, regardless of home value going up because of the fixed rate.

2 bicyclist injured in Saturday dump truck incident on SH34

ELLIS COUNTY – On Saturday at approximately 8:04 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a bicyclist and commercial motor vehicle crash on SH34 approximately three miles east of Italy in Ellis County.

THEFT CHARGES FILLED AGAINST COUNTY TAX OFFICE EMPLOYEE

ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County Tax Office employee Dena Marie Hollon was arrested late last week on charges of Theft Property >=$2,500<$30,000 ENH IAT and Money Laundering >=$2,500 less than $30,000.
