Beltline Road under reconstruction

WILMER – The road reconstruction in the City of Wilmer at Beltline Road from the westernmost city limits to Summers Road will continue for the next four to six weeks.

In 2008, the Bonhams auction house in Los Angeles sold Billy the Kid’s six-gun – a Colt single action Army revolver – for $64,350.Billy was tried and sentenced to hang in 1881 for his crimes.

ENNIS – More than one Big Boy came roaring into Ellis County last weekend.Yeah, the steam locomotive was cool, “but the brand-new play, “Big Boy, Miss Alice and the Colonial Encyclopedia”  at Theatre Rocks! totally smoked the Ennis stage.

WAXAHACHIE – Enjoying warm friendships and cool shaved ice, Neighborhood Credit Union joined with Waxahachie leaders last week to break ground on a new location to be constructed at 1750 N. Highway 77, just south of Country Meadows Boulevard, in Waxahachie.

16-year-old dies in crash

WAXAHACHIE – On Saturday at approximately 2:30 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a one vehicle crash at 122 Shoreside Trail, Waxahachie. The preliminary investigation indicates a silver 2007 Honda Accord was traveling east on Shoreside Trail.
