WILMER – The City of Wilmer will be having its annual National Night Out celebration Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Wilmer Police Chief Victor Kemp said several weeks ago he felt strongly about hosting the event even with COVID-19 causing many cities to cancel.

Juvenile shot in Waxahachie in stable condition

WAXAHACHIE – Ellis County Patrol Deputies were called to an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Monday at 6:42 p.m.
The juvenile, whose identity was not released, was shot in the 300 block of Chapel Hill Lane in Waxahachie.
