Concert shooting sends man to hospital

ELLIS COUNTY – One person was seriously hurt in a shooting Sunday at an outdoor concert south of Ferris, according to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.

Originally from Hillsboro, Wallace moved to Hutchins in the 70s to accept a position of police officer.
He later became the city’s police chief.

Wilmer wastewater spill poses no danger

WILMER – A wastewater spill occurred in the area east of Post Oak Road and the western edge of the Trinity riverbank, according to Wilmer officials.
The leakage is due to a line break of the force main to the Dallas Southside Wastewater Treatment Plant.
