RED OAK – Representatives of Texas State Technical College and Bombardier announced Wednesday the registration of the company’s apprenticeship program by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Bombardier Aviation Apprenticeship Program is based at TSTC’s North Texas campus in Red Oak.

HSM Dalcon developing 74 one-acre new home sites outside Midlothian

MIDLOTHIAN – A Dallas-based developer has launched a new phase of a ranch estate project that will add one-acre home sites in the outskirts of Midlothian. Jordan Run Estates Phase IV will offer 74 one-acre home sites.

Cowboy Church to host first “Live Nativity”

The Lone Star Cowboy Church of Ellis County will be having it’s first “Live Nativity” on Friday, Dec 4 and Saturday, Dec 5.   On Friday the time will be 7-9 p.m., and Saturday 6 - 9 p.m.

DOLLAR GENERAL OPENS IN PALMER

PALMER – Dollar General announced its store at 3314 W. FM 813 in Palmer is now open.  The store is expected to employ approximately six to 10 people, depending on the need.

Commercial State Bank ATM in Ferris vandalized

Attempts last week to get cash out of the atm at Commercial State Bank in Ferris proved futile. The thieves were unable to gain access to the cash. Police are investigating the incident.

RED OAK – Two people were killed Sunday afternoon when the Silver Mitsubishi Raider being driven by 36-year-old David Adam Lynch of Waxahachie left the road and collided with a storage facility in the 2600 block of E. Ovilla Road (FM 664).
