ELLIS COUNTY – There were few upsets in Saturday’s city council and ISD elections.
June 5 has been set for the date of the Runoff Election in the City of Waxahachie, but other races were uneventful.
Place 6 Midlothian (I)Hud Hartson had plenty of votes to win his seat back with 62.

ELLIS COUNTY – Gary and Kelly Brignon were at Scarborough Renaissance Festival this past weekend. It is certain they will never be able to enjoy the festival again like they once did.
Their 14-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted back in 2018 while working at the festival.

Missy Bevers’ murder still under investigation

MIDLOTHIAN – Five years after Terri “Missy” Bevers was killed inside a Midlothian church, police said their investigation remains open and they are “determined to see this case reach closure.”
Authorities reportedly have received more than 3,000 tips since Bevers’ slaying.

Expiration waiver for driver licenses has now ended
