Fatal crash shuts down I-45

PALMER – A 28-year-old Bedford man was killed and another person injured after a car drove the wrong way down Interstate 45 and crashed head on into an 18-wheeler Monday in Ellis County.According to police, the crash happened around 3 a.m.

Student threat causes Ferris ISD lockdown

FERRIS – The Ferris Independent School District went into lockdown late last week after a student at the Junior High School pulled a manual fire alarm between classes.

FERRIS – The City of Ferris received a wonderful Christmas donation earlier this week from Covenant Church in Ferris.The church donated about two dozen gift-filled stockings to the Ferris Police Department.The stockings were filled with gifts and toys for boys and girls of a variety of ages.
