NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WILMER, TEXAS

TO CONSIDER THE ADVISABILITY OF THE EXPANSION

OF REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE, CITY OF WILMER, TEXAS

FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PURPOSES PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 311, TEXAS TAX CODE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City Council of the City of Wilmer, Texas (the “City”), pursuant to Chapter 311.003 Texas Tax Code, as amended, (the “Act”), will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2022 at City Council Chambers, 101 Davidson Plaza, Wilmer, Texas 75172, for the purpose of considering the expansion of Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Wilmer, Texas, located within the boundaries of the City.

All persons are invited to attend the hearing and speak for or against the expansion of Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Wilmer, Texas, the proposed expanded boundaries, or the concept of tax increment financing. Written or oral statements will be considered.

The proposed expanded boundaries are within the City limits.

The first area is located immediately south of the existing TIRZ #1 boundary, and is generally bound by E Pleasant Run Road to the south, and Southport Road to the east.

The second area is located immediately east of the existing TIRZ #1 boundary, and is generally bound by Southport Road to the west, and by E Pleasant Run Road to the south. 

A more detailed legal description and boundary map of the proposed expanded Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Wilmer, Texas, are on file and open for public inspection in the office of the City Secretary at City Hall, 128 N. Dallas Avenue, Wilmer, Texas 75172.
