MIDLOTHIAN - After a game one loss to the Red Oak Lady Hawks, the Midlothian Lady Panthers came out Saturday, May 1 looking and playing like a totally different team. In game one, they couldn’t get the ball past the Lady Hawks defense and errors really hurt them.
In game two however, the Lady Panthers were able to find those gaps in the infield and outfield and in timely situations; with runners on base!
While the Lady Hawks strug-gled early on, they came back to make it a nail bitter and they had their chances to win game two, but couldn’t get the runs across in the end.
Both teams played exceptional defense, but the difference in game two was the 11 hits by the Lady Panthers vs the five hits by the Lady Hawks as the Lady Panthers took Game 2 4-3.
Game three was scheduled for Monday, May 3, but rain and lightning forced it to be moved to Tuesday, May 4.
Check next week’s paper to see how the series ended.
