Wild About Cheer celebrated its 2009-2010 season during their 6th annual Awards banquet. It’s a time for us to come together, all dressed up, to just have fun and relax with each other as we relive the memories.

Each team was recognized for their accomplishments over the season along with the girls who competed in individuals.

During this season alone, Wild About Cheer brought home 10 National Titles, two Grand National Champion titles, four high point awards, many first place wins and a World All levels Champion Title. Awards were given to recognize girls and parents, voted on by their teammates.

The Paw Award is based on leadership, attitude, and being a role model. The Mini team Paw Award went to Preslie Davis, Youth team Chloe Killebrew, Senior 1 team Kaylee White, and Senior 3 to Ashlee Patterson.

The Tiger award is based on the same characteristics as the Paw Award but it’s someone voted on by the entire gym. The Tiger Award went to Heather Kostak.

The WAC award is an award based on overall Best Cheerleader Skills. For the 11 years old and under category this went to Channing Burba and for 12 years old and up it went to Schyanne Briscoe.

The Parent Spirit award went to Leigh Ann Daughtery and the Fan in The Stands award went to Vicki Mirowitz for bringing the Red Oak Drum line to our Christmas Classic Competition. A couple new awards were started this season. One of them was the "Super Hero" Award.

It was given to the whole Senior 3 squad for their hard work, determination and stren-gth to pull together during a National Competition when they had to overcome a last minute injury of one of their teammates. Danny started the Awesome Danny award giving it to Kasey Bird for always giving her 100 percent.

WAC coaches and parents would like to congratulate the girls on an incredible season!
