RED OAK - Project Graduation 2010 and the ROHS held their annual Powder Puff Football game on Saturday April 17 at Billy Goodloe Stadium.
Despite the rain, it was a good turn out and a lot of fun to watch. The first game of the night was the Ovilla Gorillas vs Los Dia Diablos and the Gorillas pounded the Diablos 57-0.
The second game saw the SAL (Seniors Always Loose) vs Just Do It.
The Just Do It team got rolling early and pretty much controlled the game.
Probably the most entertaining part of the game came from the cheerleaders halftime routine.
Anytime you see a bunch of guys squeeze into tiny cheer-leading uniforms and then try and dance, well you know it’s going to be funny…and it was.
Hats off to them for getting in the middle of the football field with a couple hundred people watching and making everyone laugh.
There was also a Homecoming King & Queen ceremony between the two games.
The 2010 Homecoming King went to Tara McKenney and Homecoming Queen went to Calvin Overbay.
The winner of King and Queen was determined by the amount of money collected in that nominees’ money jar with all proceeds going to Project Graduation 2010.
