RED OAK - The Lady Hawks Varsity team took on the Lady Tigers of Corsicana.

Going against the wind the first half, the Lady Hawks were able to put three past the Corsicana defense making the score 3-0 at half.

The second half, the Lady Hawks played great possession and were able to score one more to make the score 4-0.

This game clinched the district championship for the Lady Hawks.

The Lady Hawk defense has only allowed seven goals all year and two in district play.

Defenders are Justine Lopez, Courtney Beene, Courtney English, Becky Lamar, Jennifer Crawford and Kasaandra Ibanez.

Goal Scorers: Paige McMillan – 1 goal 1 assist, Marisa Perez – 2 goals, Hailey Sutton – 1 goal, Sam Gonzales – 2 assists, Amber Franklin – 1 assist

The boys soccer team brought home the district title as well.

It was a big game on Tuesday, March 9 for the boys with it being senior night and their annual charity game.

The boys beat Corsicana 3 to 1.

That takes the boys to 18-1-1 in the season and 8-0-1 in district.

In district play the boys only gave up one goal all season.

Our first playoff game will be sometime after Spring Break.

The boys and girls soccer teams raised more than $3,000 for their charity during the games against Corsicana.

We appreciate all who supported our cause and it’s great to see our teams work for the good of our community.

We appreciate the hard work Mrs. Malke put into this to be such a success.
