Hawks host Corsicana Tigers

RED OAK - The Hawks and Lady Hawks JV squads hosted the Corsicana Tigers Friday, Feb. 19.

The boys had the early game and pretty much controlled the game throughout.

An altercation midway through the second half saw Corsicana players disqualified allowing the Hawks to score a shorthanded goal as they went on to win 2-0.

The JV Lady Hawks had the second game and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Lady Hawks clearly out shot Corsicana and could have easily been up three or four to zero at halftime.

However, in the second half a penalty shot awarded to the Lady Tigers inside the goal box allowed them to tie the game and that’s how it ended, a 1-1 tie.
