MIDLOTHIAN - Midlothian hosted Everman in boys and girls varsity soccer Friday night.
The girls showed an impressive amount of teamwork with great passing and communication. The Lady Panthers never let the Lady Bulldogs get in the game as their fast-paced play left Everman confused and unable to get anything started offensively or defensively.
The game was called after the first period with a 5-0 win for Midlothian.
The Midlothian boys took the field next.
Midlothian showed great coverage of Everman giving the Bulldogs little room to pass the ball.
Both teams showed quickness up and down the field.
Strong defenses kept the game scoreless through the first period even though both sides had several scoring opportunities.
Even though Everman deliberately ran the clock every time they had an out-of-bounds possession, it wasn’t enough to beat Midlothian. The Panthers scored three unanswered goals in the second period of play taking the win 3-0.
