RED OAK - The Hawks and Lady Hawks JV soccer teams played Waxahachie in Red Oak on Friday, Feb. 13.

In what some consider an unlucky day, the Hawks JV soccer teams found it to be a good number.

The boys had the 5:30 game and in a low scoring defensive first half, the Hawks were down 1-0.

The second half was a different story.

The Hawks started attacking the ball and were able to tie the game 1-1 early in the second half.

The Hawks continued their attack mode and got another goal mid-way through the second half and would go on to win 3-1.

The girls also found 13 to be lucky.

The first half belonged to the Lady Hawks and they had a 2-0 lead at halftime.

During the second half the Lady Indians tried to mount a rally, but Lady Hawks’ defense didn’t allow any decent shots on goal and the few that did make it that far, were taken care of by the keeper.

The Lady Hawks continued to push the ball and scored another goal to bring the final score 3-0.
