RED OAK - The Hawks and Lady Hawks soccer teams hosted the Ferris Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, Feb. 11.

The boys had the early game.

During the first half both teams moved the ball, but the defense and keepers on both teams allowed little scoring opportunities.

During the second half, the Hawks would gain control of the game and quickly went up 2-0.

The Hawks would eventually go on to win the game 3-0, but the Hawks goalie saved the shut out with seconds left in the game when Ferris was awarded a free kick on goal.

The Hawks goalie made a great diving save to knock the ball wide of the net.

The Hawks also went on to beat Waxahachie 1-0 on Feb. 13 in another district match up.

The Lady Hawks picked up where the boys left off and just a few minutes into the game were up 1-0 and they never looked back.

The Lady Yellow Jackets never had a good scoring opportunity the entire game thanks to the Lady Hawks pressure offense.

The Lady Hawks went on to win 8-0.
