Hawks swim team win District Championship
Congratulations to the swim team for winning the District Championship in both the boys and girls divisions.
Placing for the Girls were:
· Annayancy Esparza – fourth in the 500 free and sixth in the 100 breaststroke
· Hope Wuerch – sixth in the 100 free and fourth in the 100 breaststroke
· Amanda Emerton – fourth in the 200 free and second in the 100 back
· Lindsey Hooper – third in the 200 individual medley and fourth in the 100 free
· Casey Krywalski – second in the 200 individual medley and second in the 500 free
· Maddie Hooper – first in the 200 free and first in the 100 fly
· Valerie Strickland – third in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 breaststroke
· Taylor Chancellor – third in the 500 free and fifth in the 50 free
Placing for the Boys were:
· Zac Lozano – third for the 500 free
· Nick Lozano – second in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 breaststroke
· Patrick Fairbanks – first in the 200 free and third in the 100 fly
· Zach Gnoza – first in the 100 free and first in the 100 breaststroke
· Hunter Gnoza – first in the 200 individual medley and first in the 500 free
· Preston Hancock – third in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 back
· Taylor Shortes – second in the 50 free and second in the 100 back
The Girl Relay Teams placed second in the medley and 400 free relay and third in the 200 free relay.
The Boy Relays placed first in all three relay events
Maddie Hooper and Hunter Gnoza were named District 15 Swimmers of the Year.
The entire swim team will now compete in the Region 4 meet on Feb. 13 and 14 in The Woodlands.
