Waxahachie varsity defeats rival Ennis in womens basketball

WAXAHACHIE - It was a very slow start for both teams when Ennis traveled up to play Waxahachie last Tuesday evening. Too much passing the ball back and forth instead of shooting led to turnovers on both sides. At intermission, Wax-ahachie led 24-15 and continued to dominate in the second half of play. Ennis showed good defense around the basket keeping Waxahachie from making several shots, however, they lacked in ball control and allowed Waxahachie’s hard-fighting defense to outright dribble the ball away from them. After three periods, Waxahachie had increased their lead to 35-19.

Even though Waxahachie hardly set-up to make shots, they fought harder to get or keep the ball thereby sliding past Ennis, 46-30.
