ROJH girls take 2 from Lancaster

RED OAK - The ROJH eighth grade girl’s basketball teams hosted Lancaster on Dec. 4.

The B Team had the early game and what game it was.

With the Lady Tigers up by four at one point, the Lady Hawks fought back late in the fourth, including a key three point shot to tie the game and send it into overtime.

The score remained close through the four minute extra period, but it would be the Lady Hawks’ inside game and free throw shooting that would prove to be the difference.

The B team went on to win 33-31.

The A team girls got the tip and never looked back and went on a 14-0 run before the Lady Tigers scored a basket. It was like that the rest of the game.

The Lady Hawks overpowered the Lady Tigers in all aspects of the game. The Lady Hawks went on to win by more than 30 points.
