The stands were packed as the Ferris Junior High football team faced the Pilot Point Bearcats on homecoming. Pilot Point scored first with a touchdown and a failed extra point made it 6-0 Pilot Point through most of the game. Both teams had trouble putting any more points on the board resorting to either punting on fourth down or turning the ball over dangerously close to the end zone.

With 2:34 left to play in the fourth quarter, Ferris scored a touchdown of their own.

A failed two-point conversion resulted in a final tie, 6-6.
