Ennis Lions gain a win over Lancaster, 40-36
ENNIS - It was a battle of the offenses Friday night at Lancaster.
At the end of the first quarter both teams were on the board with a touchdown a piece.
On the second quarter kick-off by Ennis, a stunned crowd watched Lancaster’s Demontre Harris blaze down the field 108 yards to score a touchdown for Lancaster, all after initially juggling the ball.
Ennis was able to regain their composure and score two touchdowns sending both teams to the locker room at half-time with a score of 21-21.
The only scoring made in the third quarter came from Ennis who put up two more points on a safety against Lancaster.
With the score tied at 34 late in the fourth quarter, Ennis’ Jyavon King ran nine yards for a touchdown with only 10 seconds left in the game allowing Ennis to win, 40-36.
