Ferris athlete signs with TWU

FERRIS – On March 26, Lauren Michelle Biffle of Ferris signed with Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth in the presence of Ferris High School coach Jeremy Tarrant, her parents Edward and Patti Biffle and pitching and hitting coach Roy Vaughn. She received the Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship from Texas Wesleyan and Softball room grant.
Biffle has a 4.0 GPA and is the class of 2008 valedictorian.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Team GPA, Leaders Corp and participates in church activities.
As a senior, she was named All State Academic in volleyball.
She has been All District in softball for three years and has participated in basketball and cross country.
Biffle has played softball since she was four years old and started playing select softball when she was 10. This softball season, Ferris is 25-5 entering the playoffs.
Biffle will major in Math with secondary in education. She also plans to coach softball.
