RED OAK - After beating Waxahachie (56-39) earlier in the week, the Hawks faced a struggling Terrell basketball team and the Hawks wasted no time in ruining any thoughts about a road victory.

This game was only close at the tip-off and once Red Oak extended their lead to double digits, Terrell would never get closer than 10 points.

Although the Hawks outside shooting was a little off, they more than made up for with the inside game getting second and third shot opportunities in the paint and even a couple of dunks, plus grabbing nearly every offense rebound.

Coach Foster was able to go deep into his bench late in the game while his starters rested more than usual, however that did not slow down the Hawks scoring machine.

Likely the big story in this game besides the win was that the Hawks held Terrell scoreless the entire third period.

Although Jeremiah Gaines led the Hawks with 13 points, a lot of his teammates also made it into the box score making a well balanced attack.

The Hawks picked up another district win 59-23 over Terrell.

With their wins last week, the Hawks are firmly in control of third place in District 15-4A with a two game lead over the fourth place team (Ennis).
