RED OAK - Corsicana (8-1, 6-1) jumped out to an early 14-0 lead after 2:32 of game play and never looked back in a 49 - 10 victory over Red Oak (4-4, 3-3) in District 15-4A play. Corsicana’s second score came on a 30 yard interception return. That was the first of five turnovers for Red Oak.

Corsicana, as a team, controlled the game by rushing for 442 yards on the evening. Red Oak drove 58 yards on the opening drive of the second half to score their only touchdown.

Red Oak got deep into Corsicana three other times on the evening, but could not score because of turnovers. The Hawks travel to W. Mesquite (3-3 in district) on Friday needing to win their last two games to have any shot at the play-offs.  Basically whoever looses this game is all but out of the play-offs.
