Red Oak Life School fall to Alba-Golden

RED OAK - The Life School Red Oak Mustangs (0-7) fell to the Alba-Golden Panthers (4-3), Friday, Oct. 14 34-14 at the Life School Stadium.  

With a Spurgin touchdown pass to Devonte Davis and a Shawn Folks 6 yard rushing touchdown the Mustangs took a 14-12 lead into half time. The Alba-Golden rushing attack proved to be too much for the Mustang Defense in the second half scoring 20 unanswered. 

The Mustangs were led offensively by Cooper Spurgin with 23 rushing yards; Spurgin was also 10-32 for 132 yds passing with the longest being a 54 yard strike to Jacob Garza.   Defensively the Mustangs were led by Perry David’s 15 tackles and one fumble recovery. 

The Life School Red Oak Mustangs will travel Friday, Oct. 21 to the undefeated Corsicana Mildred Eagles in another District 6 AA match up.
