WAXAHACHIE - Waxahachie (3-1) (2-0) Christened its new Lumpkins’ Stadium in grand style with a convincing 55 to 9 victory over Red Oak (2-3) (1-2).

Waxahachie scored early and often with Robert Lowe Jr. leading the way with 16 carries and 176 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns.

Quarterback Don King III added 252 yards passing and two touchdown passes to Quinn Sargant.

Waxahachie’s defense forced two fumbles on consecutive Red Oak drives in the final three minutes of the first half.

Waxahachie quickly turned them into touchdowns to open a 34 to 7 lead at the half.

The Hawks lone offensive score came on a pass from Austin VanHove to a wide open Jeremiah Gaines who raced into the end zone untouched.

The Hawks defense did get a safety late in the game, but that would be as close as they would come as the Indians rolled over the Hawks to remain undefeated in district play while the Hawks fall to 1-2.
