RED OAK - The Red Oak Lady Hawks hosted W. Mesquite on Tuesday, March 15 in a District 154-A match up.

The Lady Hawks struggled the first inning trying to find their timing with a slower than normal pitcher, but were able to scratch four runs across in the second to take a 4-1 lead.

Coach Thorne kept reminding the girls to wait and be patient with the Lady Wranglers pitcher and finally in the third inning, they found their timing and exploded for eight runs in the third and five more in the fourth inning.

They also were aggressive on the bases and took full advantage of throwing errors by W. Mesquite.

The Lady Hawks went on to win 18-3. The JV Lady Hawks used the JV Lady Wranglers as batting practice and unloaded the bats scoring five runs in the first, second and third innings.

The JV Lady Hawks won 15-1.

The Lady Hawks traveled to Lancaster on Friday March 25th picked up where they left against W. Mesquite and took care of Lancaster 20-4. They then traveled to Ennis in a huge district game, but were not so fortunate against the Lady Lions and lost 7-1.
