Red Oak Pee Wee football banquet
RED OAK - The ROPWFA held their annual A-Division banquet on Sunday, Dec. 19th at Red Oak Intermediate.
The banquet is a time to hand out awards and letterman jackets to the 6th graders.
The four A-Division football and cheerleading coaches called their players and cheerleaders up on stage and handed out their trophies and letterman jackets.
The letterman jackets had special stripes on them to indicate the number of years they played or cheered in the league.
During the awards, new league president Rodney Bridgers presented the first annual "Hall of Fame" jacket to Steve Patterson with Moving Pictures for all his years of photographing the league and helping the league with recognition in the local media.
After all the awards and videos, parents and kids lined up for dinner provided by the ROPEFA and catered by Taco Cabana.
After dinner, the coaches took the stage for a quick dance-off and some of these coaches have some moves while others should probably stick to coaching.
Robert Jones provided music for everyone to dance to after the coaches were done and the kids had a great time.
The ROPWFA board members and volunteers did a great job hosting the banquet, the season and also provided long lasting memories for these kids.
