Commentary: Playoffs Time Baby!
Our Fightin’ Ferris Yellow Jackets varsity football team begin their 2010 playoffs season this Friday night against the Canton Eagles at the Cedar Hill Longhorns Stadium located right off Hwy 67.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
A Community Pep Rally is scheduled for this Thursday night on the Town Square at 6:30 p.m.
Let’s all try to be there to support the Ferris High School band, cheerleaders and of course, our District 13AAA Co-Championship football team!
This is also an opportunity to support and give a big Thanks to Head Coach Randy Barnes and his quality staff of Assistant Coaches.
The community town square is all decorated with orange and black ribbons along with supporting signs painted on the square merchants’ windows. Looks awesome!
Credit for the Community Pep Rally goes to Mrs. Lisa Lopez, Jackets Cheer Sponsor.
Great idea Mrs. Lopez! The Ferris All Sports Club deserves credit for the ribbons and paintings done on the square.
Kudos to Lynda Hulgan, Tracey Laney, Randi Valentine, Carol Greiss, Nina Riddick and Angie Masterson for your nice work!
Also, the Athletic Fieldhouse windows were painted by Mrs. Head Coach, Connie Jo Barnes.
Be sure to say Thank You to all of the above ladies for their time and support!
It is a pleasure to be around this group of young men and coaching staff of the Jackets team. Hard work is paying off for this team and this special season continues.
Our community support is appreciated by the team as they hope to see a large crowd at the community pep rally and the Friday night playoff game against Canton !
Go Jackets! Beat Canton!
