RED OAK - The Hawks varsity and sub-varsity football teams had the week off in district 15-4A football action.

The Hawks are busy preparing to host the Forney Jackrabbits this Friday at Billy Goodloe Stadium in what is likely a must win district game.

In a nine team district, the top four teams will get into the playoffs and the fourth spot will be hard to get in this district, as the Hawks are on the outside fighting to get back into the playoff hunt.

Three of the next four games for the Hawks are against district leaders and the Hawks are very capable of winning those games, but will need to play and be at their best.

In District 15-4A action last Friday, Lancaster remained undefeated as they knocked off Ennis 26-12. W. Mesquite escaped a close game with Mesquite Poteet with a 28-20 win.

Terrell edged out Forney 24-21 and Corsicana easily took care of Waxahachie 42-28.
