Vivian Laverne Nash

FERRIS - Vivian Laverne Nash, 83, of Ferris, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2014.
Vivian was born on April 3, 1931 in Spanish Fort, TX.
She was the oldest daughter of Rueben Baxter and Carmen Lena (Johnson) Baxter.
Vivian attended Nocona High School, Nocona, TX.
She worked in restaurant management most of her life.
Vivian was preceded in death
by her parents, brothers Duane and
Clifton Baxter, sister-in-law Jean Baxter
and husbands Henry Dougherty, Sam K. Yee, Sr., and Buford H. Nash, Sr.
Vivian is survived by her children Carmen Rice, Duane Yee and Lori Perkins of Ferris, Sam K. Yee, Jr., of Dallas, Kim Tomme of Bryan, Buford H. Nash, Jr. of Red Oak, Ruthie Wilson of Ames, IA, Ruben Dougherty and Ray Nash both of TN. Vivian is also survived by her sister Theresa Pettyjohn, Nocona and sister-in-law Judy Baxter Meyers, Mansfield, as well as 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church, Ferris on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Officiants were Eddie Miner and Don Ivey. Pallbearers were her grandsons Chris and Kevin Wilson, Jonathan and Clifton Sills, Cody Schwerin and Adam Yee. She was laid to rest at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas.
