RED OAK - Funeral services for Brad Wayne Carroll, 52 of Red Oak, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Eddie Mayfield officiating.

Born Jan. 15, 1957 on Ellington Air Force base in Houston, the son of J.D. and Margie Carroll, he passed aw-ay Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in his home. He was a devoted and belov-ed husba-nd, father, grandfath-er, brother, uncle and a truly great friend to all. His charismatic personality was loved by many, for his dry wit and loyalty to all. Everyone who knew Brad, always knew him for his famous fishing stories and his love for the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Sylvia Marie Carroll; daughter Connie and husband Cody Starek of Lancaster; son Phillip and wife Felicia Carroll of Fort Worth; two granddaughters Briana Starek and Mikayla Carroll; mother-in-law Sue Grimes; sister-in-law Shirley and husband Billy Aday of Waxa-hachie; sister Camille Fugate and husband Guy of Willis Point; three nieces, six nephews, six great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Aday, Randall Fadler, Melvin Taylor, Barry Swann, Randy Almon, Gary Genzel,Nathan Gaddis and Josh Edwards.

Interment followed at 3 p.m. in the Conner Cemetery in Dike, Texas under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
