Terry Douglas Jansson

WAXAHACHIE – Memorial services for Terry Douglas Jansson, 59 of Grand Prairie, were held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 in the Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Born June 7, 1949 in Ponca City, Okla., the son of Joseph and Ruth Jansson, he passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009.

He was a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Preceded in death by his father Joseph Edward Jansson and sister Fairy Jean Jansson; he is survived by his sons Joseph Jansson II, Richard Jansson of Virginia and Troy Jansson; mother Ruth Jansson of Grand Prairie; sisters Drusilla Vanblaricom of Waxahachie, Diana Tatum of Grand Prairie, Dorrita Simmons of Olathe, Kan. and Debra Disney of Grand Prairie; brother Erik Jansson of Utah; and 17 nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
