HUTCHINS - Funeral Services for Norma Stilwell were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Ennis.

Norma Lee (Brown) Stilwell of Hutchins, at the age of 80, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, in Ennis while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 3, 1933 in St. Augustine County, Texas to Rufus B. and Nomia Brown.

Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, two children: infant daughter Laura Lee and son Joseph K. Stilwell, age 47. She is survived by her husband Billy T. Stilwell of Hutchins; five children: son Tom Bill Stilwell of Dallas, daughter Mary and husband Kelly Sparks of Rockwall, daughter Julia and husband Billy Dodson of Ennis, daughter Deanna Cooper of Palmer, and son Robin Stilwell of Wilmer. She is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as, a host of family and friends.

Norma left this world leaving behind a wonderful legacy as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Business Owner. Norma and her husband Billy were married for 63 years. They lovingly raised their children while successfully building a multitude of family owned businesses throughout the years. Her greatest and proudest accomplishment was their children.

Norma was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She was the eternal optimist and always saw the good in everyone. She intuitively recognized troubled souls and knew how to reach them by lifting their spirit and making them realize their life mattered.

She looked forward to special occasions and especially cooking for her family during the Holidays. Giving her time to her loved ones was always her first priority. Family meant the world to her.

Norma will be missed deeply by so many. Even though she is gone, her memory will live in our hearts forever. Those left behind will never forget her positive outlook on life and we will “Step on it and Go Forward”. Rest in peace our sweet Angel.

Arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis, www.bozemitchellmckibbin.com.
