BRISTOL - Elois Allen, 94, of Bristol, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 peacefully, at Ennis Care Center. Elois was born in India, Texas on Oct. 23, 1917, the daughter of the late Mary Alice McKay and John Thomas Hall. 

Elois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was married to Grady Calvin Allen for 69 years until his passing in 2006. She will be missed by all that loved her. 

Elois is survived by a daughter Peggy Ann and son-in-law Jerry Charles Gayler, of Bristol; two sons Roy Wayne and daughter-in-law Carolyn Allen, of Wylie, Texas; Jerry Donald and daughter-in-law Shirley Allen, of Waxahachie. 

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. 

Preceded in death by her parents; husband Grady Calvin Allen; five sisters Myrtle Witherspoon, Millie Singleton, Johnny Wright, Essie Witherspoon and Dessie Ray; and three brothers David Tarlton Hall, James Albert Hall and Robert G. Hall. 

Services were held at 2:30 pm Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at Green Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Ratcliff and Mary Brownlee officiating. Interment followed in Bristol Cemetery.
