Dec. 19, 1959 – March 13, 2011

WILMER – James Edward Jistel, 50 of Wilmer, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 after a battle of cancer in Red Oak.

He was a printing press operator for Staples Inc. in Hutchins. He graduated from Ferris High School in 1978.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron, Texas with Rev. Dimitri Colankin officiating.

Burial followed in St. Monica’s Cemetery under the direction of Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral in Cameron.

He was born Dec. 19, 1959 in Cameron to Eugene and Annie Mae (Junek) Jistel.

Survivors are his mother Annie Mae Jistel of Red Oak; longtime girlfriend and companion Mary Willett of Hutchins; sisters Patricia Jistel Meister of Red Oak, Connie Jistel Barnes of Houston and Norma Jistel Lauer of Red Oak; brothers Eugene Jistel Jr. of Athens, Arnold Jistel of Red Oak and Douglas Jistel of Lancaster; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
