It’s that time of year again!

Time to kick-off the new competition season of Waxahachie Independent School District’s Destination Imagination.

Destination Imagination is a competitive academic group that teaches school children on the spot problem solving skills while having a total blast with teammates. Waxahachie ISD will host a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Waxahachie Ninth Grade Academy for all WISD families interested in finding out more information regarding the 2010-2011 WISD DI Program.

Last February, WISD invaded Weatherford High School at Regionals and left the throngs of other Fort Worth area school districts in shock and dismay as we took home nine medals, a Renaissance Award and two spots on the state tournament roster. This year, who will rise to the challenge and learn that life is all about duct tape and cardboard?

Who will brave and survive competition week by living on Cheese Puffs and Mountain Dew? Who will join the 2010-11 WISD DI Team and help storm the hallways of Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas, on March 5?

For more information about DI, check out www.idodi.org.
