Sims Library thanks end of summer reading carnival contributors

WAXAHACHIE - Nicholas P. Sims Library would like to extend a public note of thanks to all who contributed to the success of the annual end of summer reading carnival which took place on Saturday, Aug. 14.

With more than 200 hundred patrons in attendance, the carnival proved a grand celebration of the children’s reading accomplishments.

Special thanks go to the Friends of Sims Library who sponsored the event.

Sims Library would like to thank the Waxahachie Police Department and Fire Department for attending the carnival.

Sims Library appreciates the generosity of the following businesses and organizations that provided various resources, materials and services to the event: Eubank Florist, Nay’s, Wal-Mart, Citizens National Bank, Junior Service League, and Boy Scout Troop #233.

Lastly, Sims Library is grateful to the many volunteers of all ages who helped with the carnival on every level including set up, carnival games, store and clean up.

Nicholas P Sims Library sincerely appreciates the generous efforts of all those involved who helped make Carnival 2010 a great success in encouraging children’s literacy.
