DESOTO — Three members of the DeSoto High School choir, who competed at the Texas State Solo- Ensemble Contest (TSSEC), were selected as OUTSTANDING PERFORMERS by the UIL – the equivalent of a State Champion!

Congratulations to junior Jeremy Shedd and seniors Alexandria Jones and Johnny Brantley for receiving this mark of musical excellence.

Of the more than 85,000 regional performers and 22,000 TSSEC participants, only 231 students earned the distinguished honor of being recognized as an Outstanding Performer.

All three received a UIL gold medallion for their accomplishment and will be included in the UIL Book of Champions.

Congratulations also to Choir Director Pam Dawson.
