Local veterinarian receives awards

MIDLOTHIAN - 1st Lt. Charles T. Wofford II, a veterinarian working at the Midlothian Veterinary Clinic located at 840 East Main Street, received two awards for his past Army Service during the Vietnam and Cold Wars.

The first was a Certificate of Thanks from the Army Chief of Staff General Casey for his outstanding service to his Country during the Vietnam War.

The second award was a Certificate of Appreciation from the Secretary of Defense Robert Gates for his Service in the United Sta-tes Army during the Cold War.

1st Lt., now "Doctor" Wofford is a modest man when it comes to his service. Never the less he is a true hero and a grateful nation thanks him for his service.

The awards were presented by John Austin, a retired Army Veteran from Midlothian.
