FERRIS - Megan Biffle of Ferris received a Bachelor of Science in psychology on Friday, May 14, at Texas Wesleyan University’s commencement ceremony.

At the robing ceremony that morning, Biffle was robed by Dr. Jeremy Newton, assistant professor of psychology.

Robing is a unique and deep-rooted Texas Wesleyan tradition that began in 1927. For the robing ceremony, graduating candidates choose a faculty or staff member whose support was meaningful to them during their studies, to vest them with cap and gown. The ceremony demonstrates the strong bonds developed between faculty, staff and students at Texas Wesleyan.

The robing ceremony started at 11 a.m. Friday, May 14 in the Polytechnic United Methodist Church.

Commencement followed at 7 p.m. Friday, May 14 in the Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth.
