WHS One Act Play cast named district champs

Friday, April 2 the WHS 2010 One-Act Play cast and crew of "The Beggar’s Opera" won first place at the District 16 AAAA One-Act Play Competition at Midway High School! Additionally, the cast and crew won several individual acting awards: All-Star Crew – Bailey Venable; Honarable Mention - Jonathan Ivey & Randy Cockerham; All-Star Cast - Hannah Bush & Hannah Ritchie; Best Actor - Brandon Williams (for the 2nd time); Best Actress - Kathryn Led-better; the area contest will be held on the WHS stage Friday, April 9 starting at 1:45 p.m. We will compete agai-nst: Forney HS, Mesquite Poteet HS, Dallas Adams HS, Dallas Hillcrest HS and Corsicana HS.
