Travis Anderson and Tameka Hunter, The Meadows Elementary fifth-grade math and science teachers, attended a CAPS Science workshop earlier this year.

They won a drawing, held for those teachers who were actively involved in the workshop, for an all-expenses paid conference to the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) National Conference & Science Teachers Workshop.

The conference, was held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, Atlanta, Ga., March 29-31. The purpose of this conference is for Science Professional Development.  Anderson will be presenting at the conference with a workshop on teaching air pressure to students.
