The Bristol Schoolhouse will be hosting the Bristol Bunny Breakfast Saturday from 8:30 – 11 a.m. and will feature an egg hunt, bunnies, surprises and numbers of other prizes. Breakfast served to adults $5, children 10 and under are free.

"Week-Long" Clean-up
In our continuing effort to curtail illegal dumping in Ellis County, this year we will be offering a free "week-long" clean-up event. Starting Saturday, May 1 and running thru Saturday, May 8. Ellis County residents will be able to dispose of trash, furniture, mattresses, yard debris, and other similar items. WE will also be accepting tires and e-waste. Details are still being finalized, so check the Ellis County Official Website www.ellis. co.tx.us for more information as we get closer to the date.

Sunbeam Meeting
The Sunbeam will meet on Tuesday, April 6 at IHOP in Ennis for food, fun, fellowship, and making final plans for the End of the Line Reunion. The whistle will blow at 11:30 a.m. welcoming all railroaders, both retired and active, their family members and those who love a train. The reunion will be held on April 23 and 24. More information will follow about time and place.

MAAG Meeting
The MAAG will be on the road again on Wednesday, April 14 as they leave the First United Methodist Church back parking lot at 10:30 a.m. for a drive to Corsicana to tour the Peirce Civil War and Arts Museum at Navarro College and lunch at Sizzlin’ Sirloin Stockade. American Veterans Traveling Tribute
The AVTT is a mobile group of memorials and exhibits – anchored by an 80% reproduction of the Vietnam Memorial Wall including all of the names on the American freedom as well as those who served their country from World War II through the current Iraqi conflict. Easter Egg Hunt
The Ferris Public Library will be holding our Annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m. All children ages 10 and under are invited. There will be a "Prize Egg" for each age group. Bring your basket and camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. The Library is located at 514 S. Mabel St. at 10th St., behind Hazel Ingram Elementary School. Passover Seder Observance
First United Methodist Church of Red Oak will be hosting a special Passover Seder observance following the Wednesday Fellowship Evening meal. At 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist there will be Fellowship dinner. Music will be included in the Messianic Passover celebration. Donations only will be taken for the meal, but reservations are required by calling 972-617-9100.

This Saturday, March 27 at 7 p.m., the Texas Theater in Waxahachie will host The Red Oak Opry. Country and gospel entertainment from Nick Hunt, Gary Frye, Dana Moor, Kim Morris, Sean Woodward, Annette Skelton, Fletcher Jowers, Vicki Gatling, Christa Sulak, Devin Bruton, Bill White, and Gentlemen 4. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Games at Sims Library
For several years, Sims Library has offered chess on Friday afternoons for area youth. They are now adding different game to this fun time at the library. Along with chess and checkers, participants will be able to play Sorry, Uno, Skip-bo and Boggle. If you have a favorite game, bring it along. Ages 10 and under play from 3 – 4 p.m. and ages 11 – 18 play from 4 – 5 p.m. every Friday afternoon.
