WHS students compete at the Texas Regional Ocean Sciences Bowl

WAXAHACHIE - Waxahachie High School students competed this past Saturday, March 6 at Texas A&M against 18 other schools from across the state in the Texas Regional Ocean Sciences Bowl.
More commonly known as the "Dolphin Challenge," teams are asked a variety questions on the many topics within oceanography: biology, chemistry, physics, geology and social sciences. The competition is part of the Texas Sea Grant College Program through Texas A&M University.
The Sea Grant College program is dedicated to the wise use and conservation of marine resources.
WHS took three teams to the competition with one of the teams advancing to round three and placing fifth overall.
The teams were coached by Emily Price, Brittany Duvall and Jessica Crain.
