Clift students take home 1st place at District UIL competition
WAXAHACHIE - Oliver E Clift Middle School in Waxahachie hosted a district UIL event on Saturday, Feb. 27.
Six schools participated including Oliver E. Clift Middle School.
The other schools participating were Dorie Miller Intermediate School-Ennis, Drane Middle School-Corsicana, Red Oak Intermediate School-Red Oak, Franke Seale Middle School and Walnut Grove Middle School-Midlothian.
The events included in the UIL event were Art, Ready Writing, Spelling, Dictionary Skills, Listening Skills, Oral Reading/Prose, Oral Reading/Poetry, Calculator Applications, Mathematics, Number Sense, Maps, Graphs, and Charts, Social Studies and Music Memory. Oliver E. Clift Middle School with their outstanding performance earned the first place trophy.
Drane Middle School from Corsicana earned the second place trophy and Frank Seale Middle School from Midlothian earned the third place trophy. Congratulations to Oliver E. Clift Middle School UIL participants, coaches and staff.
