"Organize Your Life, One Drawer at a Time", a free decorating seminar, will be held at the DeSoto Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Tiffany Powell, "Ms. Organization" and owner of Drops of Design (www.dropsofde sign.com) will teach participants to say goodbye to the stress, pressure, and frustration that comes from being disorganized. Ms. Powell will share plans to organize out of control spaces, answer questions about decorating dilemmas, and teach the tricks of decorating on a budget while getting designer results. Girl Scout meeting
On Sunday, Feb. 24, a new Lancaster Girl Scout troop will have their 3rd meeting. This troop is for girls in grades K – 12th. "We have so many fun, fabulous things planned for our girls", says Katina Potts, assistant troop leaders. We not only have fun planned but we will be teaching out girls many things. The girls 6th through 8th grade, the Cadets, are focusing on 2 badges this winter, Finance/Budgeting badge and an Arts and Crafts badge.
Cub Scout Pack 229 meeting

The Ovilla Service League is having their annual barbeque to benefit the Ovilla Fire Department. Games at Sims Library
For several years, Sims Library has offered chess on Friday afternoons for area youth. They are now adding different game to this fun time at the library. Along with chess and checkers, participants will be able to play Sorry, Uno, Skip-bo and Boggle. If you have a favorite game, bring it along.
